Christopher Peter Meloni has been a popular American actor throughout his career. The actor is best popular for the roles he performed in "Law and Ordinance Special Victims Unit". From his early college days, Meloni was interested in acting. He then studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He's appeared in films and television, but it was his smaller-screen roles which earned him fame and an extensive following. This is not surprising since the actor has managed to grab the attention of viewers by playing characters who are on either sides of the law. He played the part of a serial killer on the first TV series he appeared in and then went on to portray the character of an NYPD detective. He's been nominated numerous times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performances. The most striking of his facial traits is believed to have been the piercing blue eye that has helped him portray characters who are rough and charismatic. People's magazine listed him as one of the Sexiest Men Alive for 2006.
