Dua lipa is a English artist and performer born August 22, 1995, in London United Kingdom. Dua Lipa signed to Warner Bros Records after a few years of working and put out a self-titled album in the year 2017. This album reached number 3 at the U.K. Charts and released eight singles. This included Be the One I.D.G.A.F The U.K. Number One track New Rules as well as the U.K. No. 1 Single New Rules. Lipa was awarded her Brit Awards in 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act. Her album was certified platinum across several countries around the world. Dua Lipa was born in London on 22 August 1995. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Kosovo Albanian descent. Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. It is also possible to trace her family tree back through Peja from Kosovo. Her grandparents were historians as well. Gjin and Rina are her sisters. Her musical inspirations come from her father who is the guitarist and singer of the Kosovan the rock group Oda. Her musical influences were derived from her father's music, which included his compositions as well as songs by artists like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began to sing at the age of six years old. She attended the Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing at the age of nine. Lipa performed If I Ain't Goin' to You from Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. The contract for her record with Warner Bros. Records was announced in 2014. Her debut single New Love was released in August 2015.
